Context
The Mubadala Human Capital Summit 2026, themed "Stronger Together", needed more than a landing page. It needed the full attendee lifecycle: an invitation that could be accepted or declined, a save-the-date, lunch choices, terms acceptance, the programme and the speakers, a place for attendees to sign in on the day, and a way to collect feedback afterwards. I built and delivered it alongside a separate piece of work for the same client relationship, a Schedule 4 data-security compliance plan, which shaped how carefully the attendee data was handled.
What I built
A branching RSVP flow
RSVP is not one form. It is a set of routes for each outcome: join, decline, save the date, lunch selection, terms acceptance and a confirmation state. An attendee who declines lands on a decline page, not a generic thank-you; an attendee who joins moves through lunch and terms to a confirmation that reflects their choices.
Programme and people
An agenda page and a speakers section with an individual page per speaker.
The day itself
A sign-in gate on the front door: Mubadala staff enter with their employee email, and external attendees are admitted with their company email after check-in at the service desk, which is exactly how the live site reads. Behind the gate, an attendee dashboard, the lunch menu, and a feedback form for after the event.
Decisions worth noting
- Gate first, content second. The live entry point is the sign-in screen with the summit's own branding; nothing about the programme is public. For a corporate summit that is the right default, and it aligns with the compliance work done for the same client.
- Every RSVP outcome is its own route. This made the flow testable page by page and kept each state simple, at the cost of a few more files. For a one-off event with a hard date, simple and testable beats clever.
Outcomes and evidence
- A complete, multi-state attendee journey shipped as a solo build for a high-profile corporate client.
- Live and reachable at the address above, with the branded gate visible without signing in.
- Delivered in the same engagement as the client's data-security compliance plan, so the platform and the policy were designed by the same person.
